1 Start with a vision

In our initial meeting, we will discuss your wants and needs in your home. We will go over your Pinterest boards and your budget. From this meeting, both parties will understand if Rūtd is a good fit to undertake your home project.

2 Design Consultation

At this phase we will schedule an initial meeting with you to gather information and program out your space requirements. At this time we will discuss the site positioning, design inspiration, budget and the desired layout.

3 Schematic Design

Once we have gathered the basic information, we will start a sketch session to develop a floor plan layout and elevation concepts. We will work directly with you to develop a floor plan and elevation concept specifically tailored to your needs.

4 Design Development

Once you have approved the initial plan and elevation concept we will create a 3D model of the building and generate renderings for you to be able to visualize the space. Through this process we will work with you to fine tune any details related to your project.

5 Proposal

After our initial meeting and deciding that Rūtd is a good fit, we will come back with our proposal. We will work within your budget to create a build & design plan that matches the ideas you laid out for us in the vision meeting.

6 Permits and Documents

During this last stage we will add the final details and develop the construction documents. These documents will be used to secure any necessary building permits and will be used during the construction process.

7 Construction

After the proposal is signed, construction will commence on your home project. Construction has many ebbs and flows throughout the process. There will be times things move quickly and times where they are seemingly at a standstill. We are continuously working on your home. And throughout, you will be updated through our superintendents and with our Buildertrend App – up-to-date progress at your fingertips.

8 Design Collab

During construction, you will meet again with our teams to discuss finishes, change orders, tile, baseboards, cabinetry, etc. All staying in line with the proposal and budget. These last few touches will lead us into the completion phase of the process. At this time, the home’s vision is coming to life.

9 Completion

During completion, we are installing fixtures, mirrors, shower doors and finish flooring, Finishing exterior landscaping, and implementing the final design ideas from our teams. This is where we tie up all loose ends and put a bow on your home.
